I mentioned a whole back how I labeled my whole kitchen. I took pictures right afterwards to make a blog post. And here they are!
I love seeing other houses, and how they are set up, etc. So maybe there is someone else as weird/crazy as me and will enjoy this post! : )
First, under the bar. One thing that our house is not lacking, is cabinet/kitchen space. I have room for everything I need and everything that I don't need :)
Loaf pans/special cake pans, juicers/blender (which I've never used), drink pitchers (I ended up getting rid of some of the drink pitchers, I had way more than I needed!)
Bottom- muffin pans, cupcake carrier (on lone from my sister- thanks, Malinda!), extra baking sheets, cooling racks, roasting pan.
Waffler makers, casserole dish covers/carriers.
How many Pyrex dishes does one person need!?! But I hate to sell them if I might use them in the future... more casserole dishes and cake pans.
Kitchen Aid slicer, rolling pin and pastry sheet, quesadilla maker, sandwich maker.
Toaster oven, bread maker.
Crock pots ( lots behind and back in there) This front one has our church initials wrote on it- but it was one they were getting rid of, so I snatched it!
Fondue pots, sticks, and chocolates to use with it!
Cookbooks. I already changed the way I use my cookbook- will post it later. I have too many recipes : )
Upper cabinets starting at the one closest to the living room.
All ready for baby! I went ahead and bought all the breastfeeding supplies that I was going to need (for the whole year that I plan on breastfeeding, so we should be set!
Top- bottles, drying rack, nipples.
Middle- Milk storage (bags and bottles) and the caps are in the green basket.
Bottom- Breast care. Extra parts and part cleaners.
The best thing about breastfeeding the second time around is that I know which brand works for what the best! It wasn't difficult to know what to buy this time!
Dishwasher insert, baby food/breast milk holder, bottle brushes, more milk storage bottles that overflowed from the other cabinet : )
Bowls and Tyler's bowls.
Tyler's plates (still loving the stackable plates that my Mom had at home for free- Thanks, Mom!)
Our plates- big and small.
This cabinet was still a work in progress when I took the picture. It's the snack cabinet. I will have to post a recent picture of it now, it looks so much better! But to prove that I'm normal, here's a picture of my organization! : )
Taco Shells, Shake N' Bake, Rice mixes, rice/barely.
Helpers meals, noodle mixes, soup mixes.
Macaroni and cheese, honey/nutella, peanut butter.
My baking cabinet.
Baking supplies, potato mixes (not a baking item, just didn't have any other good spot for it).
Pudding/Jello mixes, baking sugars, baking mixes.
Baking staples. Baking chips/nuts, and yeast - all in the basket.
Tupperware on the two top cabinets.
Chips, pretzels, candy, popcorn etc on the bottom shelf.
Salt and peppers, and holders. Seasoning packets.
Spices. Still don't have a good way to organize them. Any suggestions?
Pam/vegetable oil. Pancake syrup, pancake mixes, oatmeal (hidden), and cereal. I've since added pop tarts up here as well.
Pasta cabinet! Containers are from the dollar store and worked perfectly in my cabinets!
Potatoes and onions.
Cutting boards, baking sheet, pizza stone. I used to try to keep all baking sheets in there and it was way too crowded. Works way better this way. I also moved all the small cutting boards to below the oven in the drawer.
The turn around.
Everything is labeled all the way through. I didn't take pictures of the whole shelf though. Measuring cups and hand mixer on bottom. The green and blue baskets I used are from the Dollar Tree in Rolla.
Pots and pans. Skillets and strainers. I used to keep all the skillets in the oven, but it works so much better this way!
Mixing bowls and large Tupperware.
I've never had a good spot to put Tyler's sippy cups. But now I keep the lids in one drawer and the cups in a cabinet (pictured above). Straws are in the back. Clothes pins (for snack bags, bread bags, etc), spoons and forks. I like this set up because Tyler can grab everything that he needs by himself and he loves to be independent!
I went through all my kitchen spoons, etc. And ended up getting rid of quite a few. I put most of them in Tyler's sand toy box! Funnels, biscuit cutters, sandwich cutters, onion keeper, apple corer, trivet, and all the basics.
Silverware drawer. Whisks in the back.
Kitchen towel drawer. It was a disaster before I organized it! Wash clothes are the front right corner. Kitchen towels are the yellow and green stack. Bibs in the back (another thing to have everything ready for baby!) and hot pads on the side. SO much better than before!
Another thing that was never organized was where I had my saran wrap, etc. I keep it in a drawer now and it's so much easier to keep track of everything now! Place mats are in the back.
Under the sink.
Kitchen bags, kitchen cleaners, nylon net balls in the back (made by my Mom- thanks again, Mom!), dish detergent, place mats.
I pretty much redid the whole hutch. One of the small drawers on the top. Matches (all stolen/taken from our local bank :) ... and Scentsy bars that have been 1/2 used.
I had to take this picture several times to make it safe to post! LOL! Coin rollers, savings books, check registers, checks.
One of the bigger drawers.
Chargers, video camera stuff.
Batteries! All the sizes are labeled. Works so much better this way!
The biggest drawer.
Anything and everything. All office supplies, coupons, box tops, and other random things!
The other drawer.
Envelopes, church offering envelopes (from matt's church- had to turn them upside down since they have our address on them : ), overnight bank envelopes and large ones underneath. Stamps and address labels in basket.
Underneath the hutch. Tissue holders, video camera, scentsy warmers.
Cake plates, serving platters, etc.
Scentsy bars/candles, pillar candles, vases and candle holders.
Folders, sheet protectors, etc. Plain paper, and empty binders/Matt's documents.
Lunch boxes - minus Matt's since he wasn't home when I took the pictures :) .. and some cool cups. The other side is Matt's cabinet ( how nice of me to give him one cabinet- huh?!) it's full of whiskey glasses, more cool cups, and whatever else he stick in there : )
Basket on top is labeled Matt too. It's his mail, papers he leaves sitting around, etc. I have since added one as a deliver box too- will post an updated picture soon. It works so good!
Just a picture of the decorations on the wall : )
Stuff on the counters. Picture frames, Tyler's piggy bank (or as he calls it, his deer bank- HA!), germ-X, toothpick holder, notepad, pens/scissors, phone and digital picture frame.
Sink. I was trying to use up all my 1/2 hand soaps that I had around the house. I get to where I like to switch the scent and then I have all of the 1/2 bottles everywhere : )
Little basket next to the sink to keep our daily meds in. Very handy and it keeps them from getting scattered!
Tyler's vitamins, my vitamins, thyroid medicine, Tyler's allergy meds.
Kitchen Aid mixer, sugar and flour in the plastic canisters. The blue canisters are all empty except for the big one which holds tea bags.
Knife block, microwave, napkin holder.
Bread box (thanks for letting me borrow it, Mom and Dad!), recipes hanging on wall written in the handwriting of some of the special ladies in our life.
This may look like just a plain old towel to you, but it was my Great Grandma Frieda's. Grandma Mozelle sent it up with Mom and Dad on their visit and she offered it to me. I love it! And so does Tyler - since it has cows on it : )
The side of the refrigerator. Unorganized, but I like it!
Freezer. I have an ice cream addiction. Maybe sometime I'll post a picture of the big freezer in the garage and show you my ice cream stash! Ha!
The fridge... pretty basket and boring!
The door. Every condiment that you could think of is there I bet!
Tyler's little table. His step stool that he uses in the kitchen is on top.
Overview of the kitchen. Ignore the white wire basket thing to the left. I switched up my system since then and it's not there anymore. Took up too much room!
The roses are from Mother's Day. That explains how old these pictures are ! lol
This is also on the counter. Got the idea off of Pinterest It has a folder for every family member, expenses, meal plans, job list, mail in, mail out, etc. It's handy, and I think it will be even more so when the baby arrives.
So there you have it! I hope that someone enjoyed this post! I had fun posting it and like showing people how I have my house set up! I'll have to do another room soon!
